Shelby Kimball
Mom. Veteran. Community Advocate.
Shelby Kimball is a mom, veteran, and community advocate who has dedicated her life to standing up for Ohio families. A mother of four and active member of the Dublin community, Shelby volunteers in local schools, coaches youth soccer, and works closely with families through her advocacy. As a State Advocate for the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasias, she helps elevate patient and caregiver voices while fighting for better access to specialized healthcare and family-focused policies. Shelby believes strong communities start with engaged families and leaders who listen.
Shelby’s commitment to service also includes years in uniform. She served in the United States Marine Corps as a Maintenance Management Specialist before being selected as a Platoon Sergeant, where she led with integrity and accountability and was recognized for excellence in training and meritorious service. She later continued her service in the Army National Guard as a Patient Administration Specialist, helping service members and their families navigate healthcare and administrative systems. Shelby understands the challenges military families face and is ready to bring that experience to the Ohio House. Guided by her values, Shelby is running for the Ohio House to fight for practical solutions, stronger families, and a government that works for the people it serves.

As a mom of four and active school volunteer, Shelby believes every child deserves access to a high-quality public education, no matter their zip code. She supports fully funding Ohio’s public schools, supporting teachers, and ensuring classrooms have the resources students need to succeed.

Through her military service and healthcare advocacy work, Shelby has seen how complicated and costly our healthcare system can be. She will fight to expand access to care, protect coverage for families and children, strengthen support for patients with rare conditions, and ensure veterans receive the services they have earned.

As a Marine Corps veteran and Army National Guard service member, Shelby understands the sacrifices military families make. She is committed to improving access to benefits, mental health services, job opportunities, and healthcare for those who have served our country.

With a background in criminology and public policy, Shelby supports practical, evidence-based solutions that keep neighborhoods safe while strengthening trust between communities and law enforcement. She believes public safety and opportunity go hand in hand.

Shelby believes Ohio should be a place where families can thrive. She supports policies that help working parents afford childcare, keep costs down, grow small businesses, and create pathways to good-paying jobs so families can build secure futures.
